About 150 people lost power this afternoon in Niskayuna after a delivery truck hit a utility pole on Nott Street, according to National Grid.

A truck hit a pole behind the Niskayuna Co-op at 2227 Nott St., damaging the pole and forcing National Grid to turn off power for repairs, according to National Grid spokesman Nate Smith.

The outage affected about 150 customers in the area for a half-hour, Smith said. National Grid spokeswoman Wendy Ladd said tonight that power has been restored to everyone who had lost it.

The pole has since been repaired.

Also, in Clifton Park on Kinns Road between Route 146A and Route 9, a tree branch fell on a power line, shutting off power to about 120 customers, Smith said.

He said National Grid has made repairs there, and power should be restored at this time to all customers affected.
