The Capital Region Land Bank is planning to demolish another 19 vacant buildings in the city of Sche

The Capital Region Land Bank is planning to demolish another 19 vacant buildings in the city of Schenectady.

The Land Bank issued a request for proposals to demolish the buildings on Thursday, with bids due back on Feb. 11, according to a news release from the Land Bank.

The final bid award is expected by Feb. 19 with demolitions expected to start immediately after. Demolitions planned include buildings on State Street, Eastern Avenue, Prospect Street and Duane Avenue.

Buildings scheduled for demolition are:

—1205 State St.

—1207 State St.

—114 Porter St.

—909 Wendell Ave.

—858 Eastern Ave.

—4 Elmer Ave.

—123 Prospect St.

—854 Eastern Ave.

—105 DeGraff St.

—108 DeGraff St.

—101 Prospect St.

—112 Prospect St.

—129 Prospect St.

—1035 Second Ave.

—1039 Second Ave.

—409 Duane St.

—413 Duane St.

—706 Vale Pl.

The city is leveraging a $3 million Land Bank grant from the state Attorney General’s office and U.S. Housing and Urban Development funding to knock down the structures.

Richard Ruzzo, chairman of the Land Bank, said the demolitions would continue the Land Bank’s efforts with the city and county to boost neighborhood revitalization and improve the quality of life for residents.
