City police are looking into two recent incidents in which local businesses received unspecified mail from a New York state prison.
In both cases, which occurred in the past two weeks, the mailings were sent from the Coxsackie Correctional Facility in Greene County.
The owners of the businesses — which weren’t identified — said they do not know anyone incarcerated in Coxsackie, nor do they know the person who sent these mailings, police said.
The content of the mailings was non-threatening, but the fact that two local businesses received them in such a short time frame is unusual in itself, police said.
The Saratoga Springs Police Department is working with the Department of Corrections to look into the matter.
