The man found dead in a car on Maple Avenue Monday morning died of natural causes, police said Wednesday following an autopsy.

The man, 34, was found in the passenger seat of the car parked on the 900 block of Maple Avenue, just before 10:15 a.m. Police said there were no obvious signs of foul play.

A police spokesman said they determined the man had been visiting someone in the area, but couldn’t stay with them. Instead, he slept in the car and never woke up.

An autopsy confirmed the man died of natural causes. Police did not release his name.

The discovery of the man’s body on Maple Avenue Monday followed the discovery of another man’s body April 20 in Parkview Cemetery near Central Park. A woman walking her dog made that discovery.

Police last week said they are awaiting toxicology tests on the man found in Parkview, but said that he likely died of a drug overdose.
