Albany police are investigating a shooting early Saturday morning in which a man was wounded in a Delaware Avenue establishment.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., an Albany police officer assigned to the emergency room at Albany Medical Center notified the police department that a male victim had entered the ER with an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Police said the 30-year-old victim was shot by an unknown suspect while at The Elbo Room, 170 Delaware Ave., shortly before arriving at the hospital. The victim’s injuries were considered non-life-threatening, police said.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Albany Police Detective Division at 462-8039.
