The charges stemmed from a crash the morning of Feb. 7, at the roundabout at state Route 67 and State Farm Place. State police said then that Pappalau drove a 2013 Ford Mustang the wrong way around the roundabout at a high rate of speed, hitting a Chevrolet Suburban head-on. An unnamed passenger in the Suburban was treated at Albany Medical Center for serious injuries, troopers said.
At the time, Pappalau faced additional charges of unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of alcohol under the age of 21, and numerous vehicle and traffic law offenses.
