Police: Man waved jack knife at Walmart deli clerk

An Albany man is accused of waving an open jack-knife at a Walmart deli clerk over a dispute and walking behind the counter to confront her.

East Greenbush police said store security personnel responded to the incident Friday and delayed the suspect, Melvin A. Rivera-Andino, 21, until responding officers arrived.

He was charged with second-degree menacing and second-degree reckless endangerment, both misdemeanors, and arraigned in East Greenbush town court, police said.
