Duanesburg beats Fonda at the buzzer

Boone Lynch sank a 3-point basket at the buzzer to give Duanesburg a 48-47 Western Athletic Conference win over Fonda-Fultonville Wednesday night.

Lynch made only one other basket before his game-winner, while Jared Hulbert led the Eagles with 13 points.

Dan Parslow led the Braves with 25 points, and Nik Coutre added 10.

Chad Boyles put in 21 points, C.J. Singer scored 18 and Peyton Olsen contributed 14 as Middleburgh defeated Northville 65-52.

Danny Reidell topped the Falcons with 20 points, and Lucas Jetty had 13.

Deonte Holder score 21 points, and Oscar Iteji had a career-high 21 points and 10 rebounds to lift Mekeel Christian Academy past Mayfield 69-33.

Carter Stewart had 14 points for the 8-0 Lions. Brendan Gifford had 12 for the Panthers.

Thor White scored 17 points, and Tanner Williams added 13 as Galway beat Fort Plain 58-42.

Jared D’Aloia scored 16 of Stillwater’s 17 fourth-quarter points and finished with 32 in the Warriors’ 58-50 Wasaren League win over Hoosic Valley.

Nate Thrane scored nine of his 13 points in the second quarter when Stillwater opened up a 33-19 lead.

Stillwater went to 7-1 in the league and hosts 8-0 Hoosick Falls Friday. The Panthers stayed perfect in the league with a 64-45 win against Saratoga Catholic.

Alex Haynes paced Hoosick Falls with 22 points, and Guy Milliman netted 16. Terrel Tillman scored 19 for the Saints.

Amsterdam piled up 52 points in the second half and beat Hudson Falls 71-68 in a Foothills Council game.

The Running Rams, who got 25 points from Anthony Aponte, trailed at the half 34-19. Cameron Jett scored 30 points for the Tigers.

Matt Boyle knocked down six 3-point baskets as part of a 28-point performance, and Johnstown beat South Glens Falls 60-39.

Kevin Velez led a trio of double-digit scorers with 15 points, and Germantown beat Heatly 57-34 in the Central Hudson Valley League.

Joe Girard III went 16-for-20 from the line and totaled 40 points as Glens Falls beat Bishop Maginn for the second time this season 105-71 in non-league action.
Andre Smith sparked the Golden Griffins with 28 points.

GIRLS
Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons and Canajoharie traded big second-half runs, with the Cougars coming out on top after theirs in a 47-45 Western Athletic Conference girls’ basketball win.

Canajoharie put together a 16-4 spree in the last quarter, answering a 19-4 third-quarter charge that gave the Golden Knights a 41-31 advantage.

Hannah Smith led Canajoharie with 12 points. Abby Kienzie and Adriana Vicinanzo both scored 15 for Bishop Gibbons.

Jessie Show scored 17 points, Liz Singleton notched 12, and Mekeel Christian Academy shut out Mayfield in the middle quarters en route to a 43-24 win.
Sydney Sheldon’s 11 points were best for Mayfield.

Bre Palmatier scored eight points in an 18-8 first-quarter run, and Lyndsey McCoy delivered eight points in a 19-6 second-quarter flurry as Middleburgh beat Northville 57-36 and boosted its record to 9-2.

McCoy paced the Knights with 21 points, Palmatier finished with 15 and Kelsey Terrell added 11.

Julianna Taylor collected 21 points, 10 rebounds and six steals, and Abby Lombardoni added 14 points as Fonda-Fultonville beat Duanesburg 58-31 to run its win streak to eight games.

Taylor is 26 points away from 1,000 for her career.

Merari Freeman worked for 23 points to lift Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville over Schoharie 58-36.
