An 18-month-old girl was in critical condition at Albany Medical Center following a head-on collision on Route 9 in Saratoga County.

Two other people also were injured when a Mitsubishi Galant headed north crossed into the other lane, colliding with a Honda Accord. The accident happened around 10:30 Sunday morning in the town of Hadley, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said.

Alison J. Pecor, 20, of Lake Luzerne, was driving the Mitsubishi and had her 18-month-old daughter in the back seat. Both were taken to Saratoga Hospital, and the child was then transported to Albany Medical Center. Pecor is listed in stable condition, police said.

Denise I. Scofield, 55, of Hadley, was driving the Honda. She was flown to Albany Medical Center and admitted in critical but stable condition, police said.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Criminal Investigation Division are investigating the crash.
