SCHENECTADY -- Congressman Paul Tonko, D-Amsterdam, will host a town hall meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday at Schenectady County Community College in the Carl B. Taylor Auditorium.

The doors will open for the event at 5 p.m.

"This event is an important opportunity for me to hear your thoughts and concerns about recent events in Washington, D.C. and other pressing matters,” Tonko wrote in a Facebook event description.

Tonko represents New York’s 20th Congressional District, which includes all of Schenectady and Albany counties, as well as portions of Montgomery, Rensselaer and Saratoga counties.

The event is part of a wave of town hall forums slated across the country in recent weeks, with many focused on the future of the Affordable Care Act.
