About two years after it opened, the Jimmy John’s location on Upper Union Street in Schenectady has closed.
Newspapers covered the windows Thursday morning, the Jimmy John’s lettering on the façade had been removed and a sign taped to the entrance indicated the business had closed for good. The store was located at 1625 Union St., at the intersection with Keyes Avenue.
A piece of paper taped to the inside of the door reads: “Thank you for your business. We regret to inform you that this location is no longer open. We hope you can stop by and see us at our Latham or Guilderland locations! It’s been great, we will miss you!”
The national sandwich chain, which is headquartered in Champaign, Illinois, opened in February 2015.
