Police: Man tried to take SUV from tow lot

SCHENECTADY -- A city man tried to retrieve his towed SUV earlier this month by trying to drive it through the tow company's gate, authorities said.

Brian Kimball, 32, of Wabash Street, faces one count of second-degree criminal mischief, a felony. Police arrested him Tuesday.

Kimball is accused of driving his 2004 Honda Pilot into the lot gate at H&K Towing's site on Van Der Bogart Street just before 6 p.m. on  Feb. 8. In doing so, he caused more than $3,000 in damage to the gate, according to papers filed in court.
