A tree fell down during high winds and broke two power poles in Rotterdam just before midnight Wednesday, a National Grid spokesperson said.
The two poles, on Sherman Street and just off exit 8 of Interstate-890 at High Bridge Road, are being repaired now. National Grid said repairs would be finished Thursday afternoon.
Initially, 2,300 customers were without power, National Grid said, and there are now 99 customers still without power. See the National Grid outage map.
The outage is in the area of McKinley and Bryan Avenues on the west side of I-890, and Sherman Street and Mercer Avenue on the east.
There are low power lines over I-890, but National Grid told CBS6 that the highway will remain open.
