Liberals known for disrupting GOP town halls

Re Feb. 22 editorial, “Faso, Stefanik should host town halls”: Your editorial is devoid of common sense. To draw a parallel between the actions of the left and those of the right is absurd and ignores reality and recent history.

Conservatives do not obstruct or disrupt the meetings of liberals. Liberals do disrupt the presentations of those on the right; and, in fact, recent evidence shows the left provides prepared materials and training on methods to curtail free speech and discussion.

Rep. Paul Tonko has never had a presentation trashed by those at a meeting. In fact, I can’t recall a liberal having any meeting disrupted by those on the right. The left has demonstrated that they want to discourage free speech and the exchange of ideas when such speech or ideas differ from their own. Thus, your (self-serving?) comment that Tonko had “courage” is ridiculous. And the truth is Faso and Stefanik forge ahead logically, in an effort that should be lauded, to inform their constituents of important legislative issues.
