Police in Saratoga Springs on Monday released a surveillance video after a man robbed a bank at knifepoint Saturday afternoon.

The Police Department said that about 12:45 p.m., a white male wearing all black with a dark-colored bandanna covering his face walked into the Adirondack Trust Company bank at the intersection of Route 50/Ballston Avenue and Northline Road.

The man, armed with a knife, approached bank tellers demanding money. He then jumped over the bank counter and took cash from two money drawers, police said.

The man, estimated at 5'8" with a medium build, left the bank and headed northeast on Northline Road on foot. He was last seen running into the woods between Old Ballston Avenue and Old Post Road, police said.

Police asked anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed anything or has any information on the robbery to contact them at 518-584-1800
