GLENVILLE -- A meeting scheduled for Tuesday night to discuss the state Department of Environmental Conservation's plans to clean up the contaminated Kenco site has been postponed until April 4.

The meeting was pushed back in anticipation of a major snowstorm expected to hit the region, DEC officials said Monday.

The meeting is now slated for 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at the Glenville Senior Center on Worden Road. The public comment period has been extended two weeks, until April 14.

The meeting and public comment period concern DEC's $16 million plan to address groundwater contamination from the former Kenco Chemicals site on Freeman's Bridge Road.
