SCHENECTADY -- An Albany man illegally possessed a gun in a car during a domestic dispute Saturday, authorities said.
Frank R. Roark, 39, of Commodore Street, faces charges of second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm, all felonies.
Roark is accused of possessing a 9 mm Tanfoglio handgun just before 3:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Tropics Restaurant and Bar on Brandywine Avenue, according to papers filed in court.
A witness spotted him loading a magazine with live rounds as he sat in the driver's seat of a car during a dispute with his girlfriend, according to court documents.
Police said they found the magazine loaded with 14 live rounds.
