Garbage collection in District 2, which encompasses parts of the Mont Pleasant and Hamilton Hill neighborhoods, has been delayed from Wednesday until Saturday at 6 a.m. All other districts will stay on the normal schedule, and District 2 will return to its normal pickup time next week.

District 2 runs from Crane Street to the even side of State Street going west to east, and north to south from Broadway to Route 7.

Schenectady lifted its state of emergency at 5 a.m. Wednesday after a winter storm dumped close to 20 inches on the city, and more than two feet on other parts of the Capital Region.
