The man shot twice in the chest Wednesday in Schenectady is listed in stable condition, police said Thursday.

The victim, identified as Diagnon M. Freeman, 46, of Schenectady is still at Albany Medical Center, police said.

Freeman was shot Wednesday at approximately 1:53 p.m. near the intersection of State and Hulett streets.

The suspect, or suspects, were last seen in the area of Victory Avenue, police said. Police said there is no one in custody and there is no further information. 

Police are continuing to investigate.
