Albany police investigate 2 weekend shootings

Both victims have nonlife-threatening injuries

ALBANY — A man was shot Sunday afternoon on Park Avenue, police said, the second city shooting in less than 24 hours.

Police were called to the 600 block of Park Avenue about 1 p.m. Sunday.

The man was transported to Albany Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.

Police are also investigating a separate shooting that took place Saturday night on Broad Street.

Officers responded about 7:30 p.m. to the area of Broad and Schuyler streets and found a man who had been shot. The victim, 61, was taken to Albany Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries.

Police ask that anyone with information call the Detective Division at 462-8039.
