SARATOGA SPRINGS -- A Colonie-based fitness studio that strives to make working out less intimidating is opening a second gym in Saratoga Springs.

Laurie Romand, co-owner and CEO of Full Circle Fitness NY, said a grand opening is set for June 3 at the 3257 Route 9 location.

Romand said she and her husband, Dan Romand, opened the fitness studio in 2013 with the goal of helping those who feel “intimidated by or who think they are too out of shape to join a gym.”

Dan Romand, the gym’s co-owner and head trainer, said he has lived in Saratoga Springs for almost 30 years and has had people reach out to him looking for a place “where they fit in.”

“They’ve practically begged me to open a location in Saratoga, and we are looking forward to being able to provide them with our unique brand of fitness programs,” he said.

The new gym will be managed by Tyler Adamczak, a certified personal trainer and small-group fitness specialist who has worked for the Albany fitness studio for almost three years.

The Saratoga Springs studio will host several sessions per week, including a beginner bootcamp program, which the gym’s owners described as the region’s only program “tailored to those who have felt too nervous or embarrassed to join a gym or who haven’t worked out in a while.”

The gym will also offer small-group and personal training, boxing, TRX, yoga, nutrition coaching, massages and corporate wellness programs.
