SCHENECTADY — A woman who was stabbed Monday night on Becker Street suffered nonlife-threatening wounds, and police are asking for help in finding the person who stabbed her, police said Tuesday.

The investigation is continuing, and no arrests have been made, but police said the incident appeared to have started with an argument between downstairs and upstairs neighbors, police said.

The incident happened just after 7:30 p.m. Monday near 1571 Becker St. Police responded to a report of a stabbing and found Tyjane Rozier, 20, with a stab wound to her upper chest, police said. Rozier was taken by ambulance to Albany Medical Center for treatment.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact city police detectives at 382-5602.
