FIRST PLACE

Football is very dangerous and you could get hurt. The NFL has a long history and has changed a lot over the years.

Running backs are the ones who run the ball and gets handoffs. Eric Dickerson is the fastest player to reach 10,000 yards. It only took him 91 games.

Walter Payton is the second best running back in history. Emmitt Smith has the most rushing touchdowns in NFL history with 164. Also Emmitt Smith has the most Super Bowl MVP awards in NFL history with three.

People thought Emmitt Smith was too small for the NFL but now he has the most rushing yards. LeSean McCoy is way better than Jay Ajayi. LaDainian Tomlinson as the second most rushing touchdowns with 145 touchdowns. He is 19 away from the record of 164 held by Emmitt Smith. Jim Brown, who played for the Cleveland Browns, is the bet running bank in NFL history because he averaged 104.3 yards per game.

Receivers usually are the players who receive the ball from the quarterbacks. Sometimes, they do a trick play where receivers throw the ball to other receivers but that play is rare. Greg Olsen is the only tight end to have 3,000 yards. In 2008 A.J. Green was the first rookie in eight years to make the pro bowl.

Dez Bryant, who is a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys and Jace Norman, who is a linebacker for the Washington Redskins get into a lot of fights. Tony Gonzalez, a right end, has the second most receptions in NFL history. He retired with 202 receptions.

Randy Moss has the second most receiving touchdowns with 156. Odell Beckham Jr. has the best catch in NFL history against the Cowboys; it was one handed. It is easier for a wide receiver in one-on-one coverage then zone coverage because in zone when a player gets past a player another will come.

Antonio Brown’s one-handed catch is in second place. Jerry Rice has the most touchdowns receptions and receiving yards. Jerry Rice is the best wide receiver because of his records.

The quarterback needs passing yards and has the most Super Bowl MVP awards. Tom Brady has the most regular season wins with 203. Cam Newton has the most rushing touchdowns with 44. John Elway has eight interceptions in Super Bowl games that the most in NFL history.

Tom Brady is not that good against the Ravens. Did you know Tom Brady has a good defense but does not handoff the ball that much because he throws very well? Quarterbacks need a good team of wide receivers. Once the quarterbacks had to be five yards away from the line of scrimmage but they do not have that rule now.

Joe Montana has never thrown an interception in all his Super Bowl games. The best quarterback is Roger Staubach.

You can always get hurt in football but it’s still fun and you could get great records like Jerry Rice and Jim Bown. You could be a millionaire and be in commercials and be famous. But mostly, people play football because it’s an energetic game.
