The 69-year-old Kentucky man who went missing last week while volunteering at Americade in Lake George has been found dead, state police said Tuesday.

Troopers said Robert M. Vanderhoof died in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident on Dippikill Road in the town of Thurman.

His body was found through a search by state police and forest rangers, state Department of Environmental Conservation police and Warren County sheriff’s deputies, troopers said.

Vanderhoof was last seen June 7 while driving a red 2016 Honda Africa Twin motorcycle with saddlebags, troopers said in trying to locate him.
