MALTA -- A woman arrested in March on felony and misdemeanor drug charges that accused her of selling heroin has had her case adjourned in contemplation of dismissal.

Julie Ramos appeared in Town Court June 7, after being arrested by Saratoga County sheriff’s deputies March 8. The judge ruled that charges of criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance will be dropped after six months, if Ramos remains arrest-free during that time, according to court documents.

Charles Fosmire, of Malta, was arrested as part of the same investigation and was charged with three counts of the same charges filed against Ramos. He took sole responsibility for the crimes, allowing Ramos’ case to be adjourned, according to court documents. Ramos also cooperated with drug and alcohol tests as a condition of the judge's ruling.
