Recently, there was a rally in Albany with the goal of making voting easier in New York state.
Thirty-seven states have early voting, but not New York, a situation that unfairly affects those in hourly work situations. In addition, New York state has one of the lowest voter turnouts of all 50 states. We have a primary coming up on Sept. 12. Are you registered to vote in it? If not, voter registration is easy. Do it today.
To register you must be a U.S. citizen; be 18 years old by the end of this year; not be in prison or on parole for a felony conviction and not claim the right to vote elsewhere.

To obtain a voter registration form in person, visit the Schenectady County Board of Elections at 388 Broadway, Suite E., in Schenectady or download a copy of the form and mail it to Schenectady County Board of Elections, 388 Broadway, Suite E., Schenectady, NY 12305. Mail or deliver the form 25 days before the election you want to vote in.
