GLENVILLE — Police are investigating a possible suicide on Pashley Elementary School grounds, police said, but it's not believed to be related to last weekend's police shooting at a nearby house.

Someone found a body Thursday morning among some trees on the grounds and not in plain view, Glenville police spokesman Lt. Mike Petroski said.

The investigation led them to a nearby home on Harmon Road, Petroski said. Police tape remained around the home Thursday evening as police completed their investigation.

The Pashley school is just down Pashley Road from the site of last Friday night's police shooting at 10 Pashley Road that left a resident dead and an officer injured.

Asked about the proximity of Thursday morning's discovery to the shooting location, Petroski confirmed no connection between the two.
