A city woman helped attack a man last month with a 14-year-old and others accomplices, authorities said.
The attack left the victim with broken facial bones, injuries that required reconstructive surgery, according to papers filed in court.
Windy M. Grant, 38, of Cutler Street, faces one count of first-degree gang assault, a felony. The charge refers to an attack by at least three individuals not affiliated with any group. Police arrested her Friday morning at her home.
She is accused of kicking the 42-year-old man twice in the head late in the evening of July 9 near the intersection of Congress Street and Fourth Avenue as he lay on the ground unconscious, according to court filings.
Grant was aided in the assault by the 14-year-old and "multiple other assailants," according to court filings. It was unclear Friday if other charges had been filed. If the 14-year-old is charged, he would be treated as a juvenile and his case sent to Family Court.
The victim suffered a broken left orbital bone, broken left cheek bone and broken sinus bone, according to authorities. Further information on the incident was not available Friday.
Grant remained at the Schenectady County Jail Friday evening on $35,000 bail.
