A Schenectady man was arrested last week for allegedly driving while intoxicated on Interstate 890, state police said Sunday.
Police stopped a 2002 Honda in Rotterdam on Wednesday for speeding and having a headlight out, troopers said. The driver, Genarine Nareindra, failed field sobriety tests and was arrested, police said.
Nareindra, 45, was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.12 percent, police said. He was charged with DWI and issued tickets for speeding and a headlight infraction.
He is due Aug. 31 in Rotterdam Town Court.
