Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought we elected a person to occupy the office of the president last November, not the office of the dictator. The recent triple Tweet storm has left me a bit confused.
First because it referred to “my generals.” Are they really his? I thought they were the nation’s generals. Perhaps the tweeter is confusing the people who serve our nation in the armed services with the employees who work for the corporations from which he refuses to divest himself, because he believes he is not bound by either law or ethical behavior.
Then he tweeted a change in military policy which demeaned and diminished a segment of our nation as unfit for military service — effectively classifying them as something less than full citizens of the United States. I guess the thousands of transgendered who are currently serving should lay down their weapons and walk away. And the thousands who have been honorably discharged for exemplary service should have these documents rescinded and replaced with dishonorable discharges.
Finally, perhaps it would be easier for all of us if they were required to wear a large “T” on their lapels, shirt or blouse sleeves, and coats so we can all quickly recognize and shun them as well. Just a modest proposal.
