GLENVILLE — Police are investigating a series of home burglaries and thefts from vehicles in the western part of the town over the past week.

The incidents happened mainly during overnight and morning hours, police said. They've asked that residents lock their homes and vehicles and remain alert for suspicious vehicles or people.

Police are also asking anyone in the area of Washout Road who has a home surveillance system to check their footage for suspicious activity from Sunday into Monday morning.

Rotterdam police issued a similar alert a month ago, after a series of burglaries and attempted burglaries there.

Anyone with information on the burglaries should contact police at 518-384-0135.
