MECHANICVILLE — Dan Motta scored on a three-yard run for what proved to be the game-winning touchdown as 2016 Section II Class C runner-up Mechanicville held off Holy Trinity 38-34 on Friday night.

Motta also had a 21-yard TD run in the second quarter to give the Red Raiders a 14-6 lead.

Keegan McHale ran for three touchdowns for Mechanicville.

For Holy Trinity, Nacier Hundley caught three TD passes from Joe Tortello, and Tortello also threw a 30-yard pass for a score to Noah Foster to pull Holy Trinity within 
38-34 in the fourth quarter.

BALLSTON SPA — Christian Brothers Academy broke open a low-scoring game with two touchdowns in the second half ot beat Ballston Spa.
Mike Temple, who finished with 62 yards on seven carries, ran 48 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter for a 14-3 lead, and Brian Tucker added a nine-yard run in the fourth.
Temple also completed a 24-yard-touchdown pass to Luke McMahon on a halfback option for the Brothers (1-1).
Jason McCarthy had 67 yards on 13 carries for the Scotties (1-1).

Toutai’s first touchdown was set up by an interception by Akap Takor.
Ravion Burt polished off the win with a 65-yard TD run in the fourth.
