We need to take the profit out of health care

We need to take the profit out of health care

Say good-bye to the health-un-care robber barons

Why is it when discussions and legislative proposals regarding single-payer or Medicare for all come to light, opposition in the form of laissez-fare, for-profit vitriol spewed by the acolytes of free market religiosity come crawling out from under the slimy rocks of greed and exploitation?
This robber baron mentality of profit motives from the level of care, or lack thereof, needs to be expunged from the equation of providing health care in general.
There can be no justification whatsoever for anyone to be considering the most profitable method of treatment while our wives, sons, daughters or any fellow human being is lying in bed suffering from any disease, injury or other malady.
This for-profit health care system is the moral equivalent of deciding who lives or dies based on the level of profitable systems, or lack thereof. Haven’t we suffered long enough under this hypocrisy?
I urge you to support single-payer/Medicare for all legislation as sponsored by Sens. Bernie Sanders, Kirsten Gillibrand, Corey Booker and others and say good-bye to the health-un-care robber barons.
