Police: Man arrested in $13K Schenectady tool theft

SCHENECTADY - A local man has been charged with possession a stolen truck and thousands of dollars in stolen tools in Schenectady recently, authorities said.

Brandon Pileckas, 41, faces one count each of third-degree grand larceny and stolen property possession, felonies.

Pileckas was arrested Sept. 21 and accused of taking $13,000 worth of construction tools from 1419 Erie Blvd., the address of apartments under construction, according to court documents. He also faces misdemeanor drug possession counts.

A second man, Michael Chrysler, 39, of Schenectady, is also accused of possessing the stolen tools on Howard Street, according to documents.
