Amsterdam senior Deanthony Colon turns the corner vs. Averill Park Friday

AVERILL PARK — Carl Nitz scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter as Averill Park rallied to beat Amsterdam 20-15 in a Class AA football game Friday.

The Warriors trailed 15-8 at halftime. Deanthony Colon threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Lewis Fedullo, who then caught a pass from Tucker Clark for the two-point conversion to give the Rugged Rams an 8-0 lead in the second quarter.

Averill Park tied it on Dom Wall’s 1-yard run and James Finelli’s run on the two-point conversion. Colon got the lead back for Amsterdam on a 71-yard run. The Rams then kicked the extra point.

Finelli pulled the Warriors within one on his 40-yard TD run in the third quarter. The Warriors missed the extra point.

Nitz then gave Averill Park the lead with his score.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS — First-quarter scores by Michael Levan and Jack Wyatt set the tone for the Spartans in their victory.

Levan caught a 41-yard TD pass from Darren LaPietro for the first score. Then Wyatt returned a fumble 44 yards to make it 14-0.

Jacob Stanko scored twice for Burnt Hills.

RAVENA — Nelson Ruoff and Marlon Laing each scored two touchdowns to power Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk past Lansingburgh.

Ruoff scored on a 2-yard run in the first quarter, and then caught a 22-yard TD pass from Brandon Warnken in the second quarter.

Laing, who had 142 yards rushing on 22 carries, had TD runs of 20 and 6 yards. He also scored on a pair of two-point conversions.

FONDA — Quarterback Sam Richard was involved in nearly of Hoosick Falls’ touchdowns in its win over Fonda-Fultonville.

After Fonda took a 7-0 lead on John Mancini’s 5-yard TD pass to Jon Flander, Richard threw a 54-yard TD pass to Lucas Brogue to tie the score.

The teams traded touchdowns in the second quarter. Maxwell Kipp scored on a 26-yard run for Hoosck Falls, and Mancini tied it on a 3-yard run.

Richard got rolling in the second half. He scored on a 2-yard run in the third quarter to give Hoosick Falls a 20-13 lead. He then had TD runs of 13 and 1 yard in the fourth quarter.

LAKE GEORGE — Fourth-quarter touchdowns by Jimmy Kelleher and Michael Johnson lifted Lake George/Hadley-Luzerne past Tamarac.

Kelleher scored on a 5-yard run, and Johnson went in on the two-point conversion to give LG/H-L a 30-22 lead. Johnson then scored on a 2-yard scamper, with Kelleher adding the two-point conversion.

Johnson’s 60-yard TD run in the third quarter tied the score at 22.
