NISKAYUNA — Niskayuna wasted no time against Schenectady on Friday night, jumping out to a 21-0 lead after the first quarter on the way to a 40-26 victory in Class AA football.

Ismail Stewart scored a 67-yard touchdown to open the scoring, Dan Brownell threw 18 yards to Richie Quinn for a TD and Deylon Edmonds punched one in from four yards out in the first quarter.

Edmonds had another touchdown run in the fourth quarter and Quinn also had two TD catches for the Silver Warriors.

Dev Holmes caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from Joe Casale in the fourth to go along with a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter.

EAST GREENBUSH — Bethlehem built a 17-6 halftime lead and went on to beat Columbia.

Alex Shudt ran for 119 yards for the Eagles.

The Blue Devils’ only score came on an 82-yard kickoff return in the first quarter.

BROADALBIN — Russell Schuyler returned an interception for a touchdown with 6:20 left in the fourth quarter to give Hudson Falls a stunning victory over Broadalbin-Perth.

The Patriots had come back from a 16-0 first-quarter deficit to take a 20-16 lead in the fourth quarter on a 63-yard pass from Brodryk Benton to Nick Green.

Benton also had an 84-yard TD pass to Alex Gardner in the first quarter and a 27-yarder to Glenn Buyce to pull B-P within 16-13 at halftime.

Riley Maddison had a big first quarter for Hudson Falls, throwing a 58-yard TD pass to Brennan Prevost, running for a two-point conversion and passing for a two-pointer.

HOOSICK FALLS — Joseph Tortello was 8-for-15 for 285 yards and five touchdowns as Holy Trinity rolled past Hoosick Falls.

He threw four of those — to four different receivers — in the first half as Holy Trinity took a 34-7 lead.

Nacier Hundley finished with two touchdown catches for Holy Trinity, including a 91-yarder from Tortello in the third quarter.

Jarahn Parlemont opened the scoring for the Cannoneers with a 68-yard run in the first quarter, followed by Beauregard’s 45-yard TD run.

GREEN TECH 44, JOHNSTOWN 36

JOHNSTOWN — Green Tech’s Jaisean Crumble returned a blocked field goal 83 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, and after Johnstown tied it at 36-36 on Christian Soler’s 62-yard touchdown reception, Green Tech won it on Dupri McWhite’s 15-yard run.

Johnstown quarterback Trevor Porter ran for 125 yards and threw for 337.

Crumble finished with 161 yards on the ground and three touchdowns.
