Eliza Branch’s goal in overtime gave Shenendehowa a 1-0 Suburban Council field hockey win over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Wednesday. 

Olivia Howard assisted on the goal. The Plainsmen ran their win streak to 36, finishing this year 14-0 in league play.

Jessie House recorded a hat trick to lead Saratoga Springs over Shaker 5-0. Lindsey Frank added a goal and three assists for the Blue Streaks.

Columbia doubled up Niskayuna 2-1. Jessy Blackburn and Marie Elben scored goals for the Blue Devils. Kristen Wurth scored the Silver Warrior goal.


Connor Smith scored a pair of goals in Albany Academy’s 4-0 Colonial Council win over Watervliet. Caleb Phelan contributed a goal and an assist for the Cadets.

Schalmont edged Voorheesville 1-0. Ryan Edwards scored the game’s only goal, assisted by Matt Horwedel.

Cobleskill-Richmondville defeated Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk 2-0 behind a goal and an assist from Andrew Tracy. Adrian Koval also scored for the Bulldogs.

LaSalle bested Catholic Central 4-0 behind two goals and two assists from John Gordon. Sam Haita added a goal and an assist for the Cadets.

Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville defeated Mekeel Christian Academy 7-1 in a Western Athletic Conference matchup. Jack Brundage and Trent Barker each scored twice for the Wolves. Barker also added two assists.

Scotia-Glenville won a non-league match against Galway 5-0. Jared O’Connor collected two goals and an assist for the Tartans.


Voorheesville and Schalmont played to a 2-2 draw in Colonial Council action. Sophia Cassano put the Sabres up 2-1 37 seconds into the second overtime period before Voorheesville’s Kaelyn Lawson tied the game four minutes later.

Penny Rocchio’s goal was the difference in Albany Academy’s 1-0 defeat of Watervliet. Cannoneer goalie Meghan Murray made 18 saves.

Scotia-Glenville shut out Amsterdam 7-0 for a Foothills Council victory. Sydnee Smith collected a hat trick for the Tartans (14-0, 12-0), while Tanya Leggiero, Annika Nielsen, Lauren Zeglen and Lexi Zatlokowicz each scored once.

South Glens Falls edged Queensbury 3-2. Amya Naja scored twice for the Bulldogs. Queensbury’s Brigid Duffy recorded a goal and an assist.

Oppenheim-Epratah-St. Johnsville earned a Western Athletic Conference victory over Mekeel Christian Academy 5-1. OESJ’s Alexis Klock recorded a hat trick, while Jo Galarneau scored the Meekel goal.

Northville improved to 10-1 with a 2-1 win over Middleburgh. Hannah Coupas scored both Falcon goals.

Emma Rhodes’ hat trick led Fonda-Fultonville past Fort Plain 4-3. For the Braves, Alyssa Duval collected a goal and three assists.

Mayfield shut out Berne-Knox-Westerlo 3-0. Lindsey Hampton scored twice for the Panthers, while Camryn Meca tallied the third Panther goal.

Carrie Krohn and Katie Krohn each collected hat tricks in Schoharie’s 9-1 win over Canajoharie. Maddie Phelan and Adrianna Cornell both chipped in a goal and an assist for the Indians.

Cambridge topped Emma Willard 2-0 for a Wasaren League win. Grace Snyder collected a goal and an assist for the Indians. Miranda Seacord scored the other Cambridge goal.

Jada Brown’s three goals and one assist propelled Mechanicville past Hoosick Falls 7-1. Mackenzie Bowie scored twice, including the 100th goal of her career. Brynn Murphy added two goals and three assists.

Alexis Viola scored two goals and assisted on three more in leading Waterford-Halfmoon past Berlin 6-2. Caitlin Briell added two goals and one assist for the Fordians.

Lauren Lockrow scored a pair of goals, including the overtime game-winner in Tamarac’s 2-1 win over Hoosic Valley. Sami Dickinson scored for the Indians.


Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake topped Colonie 25-9, 25-16, 25-12 for a Suburban Council win. Brad Albright recorded 10 kills for the Spartans, and Derek Haughry chipped in 17 assists.

Dylan Urbanski’s 39 assists guided Shenendehowa to a 25-16, 26-24, 25-9 win over Bethlehem. Brendan Spulnick tallied 22 kills and five aces for the Plainsmen.

Shaker beat Columbia 25-18, 25-21, 25-22. Tyler Lloyd collected 24 assists for the Blue Bison. Nick Basco added nine kills and 11 digs.


In the Suburban Council, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake swept Guilderland 25-12, 25-10, 25-9. Avery Pollard tallied 28 assists for the Spartans (18-4, 11-0).

Voorheesville topped Cobleskill-Richmondville 25-15, 25-16, 25-17. Laurean Cummings tallied 14 service points, five aces and one block for the Blackbirds.

Johnstown beat Scotia-Glenville 25-10, 25-14, 25-16. Mackenzie Ward had four aces, seven service points and 20 assists for the Lady Bills, while Sadie Blowers added 10 service points.

Gloversville topped Amsterdam 27-25, 25-15, 25-20. For the Dragons, Lucy McCredie recorded 14 assists, five kills, four aces and six digs.

Mayfield defeated Fort Plain 25-14, 25-12, 25-18 in the Western Athletic Conference. For the Panthers, Emily Mormando collected three aces, 16 assists and 17 service points. Bella Paige had 15 digs for Fort Plain.

Middleburgh beat Schoharie 25-9, 25-22, 25-13 behind 18 assists from Cheyenne Haemmerle. Saige Burton added 11 kills for the Knights.

Duanesburg topped Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons 26-24, 21-25, 22-25, 25-18, 25-19. Annabelle Rieseler and Sophia Loukidas combined for 27 service points, while Olivia Dykstra added eight aces and 10 kills for the Eagles.

Mackenzie Islip tallied 21 service points, 17 assists and seven aces in Mekeel Christian Academy’s 25-17, 25-10, 25-14 win over Berne-Knox-Westerlo. Sydney Eckstein anchored the Lions defensively with 10 digs to go with 11 kills.

Fonda-Fultonville bested Canajoharie 30-28, 15-25, 25-10, 25-17. Kayla Mastin collected 11 service points and eight aces, whille Julie Viscusi added 10 digs.
