Jeff Goldblum, the star of blockbuster films such as "Jurassic Park," "Independence Day" and "The Big Chill," is making a movie in upstate New York.
"The Mountain," starring Goldblum as a famous neurologist not too far from retirement, is being filmed Monday in Clinton, in central New York, and Wednesday and Friday in the Albany area. Tye Sheridan is also in the film, which is set in the 1950s. In the film, Goldblum's character tours rural mental hospitals with Sheridan's character at his side. Rick Alverson, an independent filmmaker from Richmond, is directing.
The production team is also looking for men and women as extras for a number of hospital scenes in the film. For more information, visit Hudson Valley Casting on Facebook.
