Participate in vote for sale of park land
Regarding the upcoming land sale vote in Clifton Park: I will be voting yes on Proposal #1 on Dec. 5 and hope that everyone else will do the same.
If this proposal is approved, the 37 acres (increased from 34) in the heart of the Shenendehowa school district will be preserved as a “central park.” The sale of this property will benefit generations to come.
Earlier this year, residents of the school district spoke with a strong voice when voting down the sale to a private developer. That was first step to preserving this property. Now to transfer ownership and create a park, we need to approve the sale from the school district to the town of Clifton Park.
Please help plan for a balanced future for the community. Participate and vote yes.
