ALBANY — A Ballston Spa man admitted Monday he possessed more than 14,000 photos and videos of child pornography, U.S. Attorney's officials said.
Damian Quillinan, 44, pleaded guilty to one federal count of possessing and receiving child pornography, prosecutors said.
He admitted he used his phone in July 2016 to download files containing child pornography and he then saved those photos to a memory card, prosecutors said. He also admitted he downloaded and stored the 14,000 images and videos on various computers and hard drives at his residence between February 2014 and August 2016.
Judge Mae A. D'Agostino is to sentence Quillinan in March. He faces at least five years and up to 20 years in prison.
This case was jointly investigated by the FBI and New York State Police, and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Emmet O’Hanlon.
