SCHENECTADY — A vehicle crashed through a fence and struck Schenectady County Community College's Stockade Building after a medical issue Monday morning, officials said.

The crash caused minor injuries to the driver and some minor damage to the building's brick facade, police and college officials said. No other injuries were reported.

The incident happened just after 6:30 a.m. off the State Street side of the campus. The car, coming from the Western Gateway Bridge, jumped the curb and struck the building. The car also hit a tree, officials said.

Campus Safety responded immediately, as did emergency responders, college officials said.

Paramedics took the driver to Ellis Hospital with minor injuries. Police attributed the crash to a medical issue.
