MALTA — A Milton woman stole nearly $600,000 from a family member, according to state police.

Dena Holmes, 52, is alleged to have taken the money between 2013 and 2016.

She was arrested Monday and charged with second-degree grand larceny, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and third-degree criminal tax fraud, all felonies.

She was arraigned in Malta Town Court and posted $10,000 bond. She is to return Dec. 6 to Malta Town Court.
