SCHENECTADY -- A man facing charges related to a fire in Albany earlier this month is now accused of smashing a car window in Schenectady with a golf club, authorities said.

Brian K. Kimball, 33, of Avenue A, Schenectady, has now been charged with first-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Kimball also violated an order of protection when he smashed the car window on Oct. 31 on Avenue A, according to court documents. Other charges include child endangerment, because a child was present at the time of the incident, according to court documents.

Police in Albany charged Kimball Nov. 10 with setting a fire to a door frame at a Madison Avenue building that day. The fire was quickly doused.

Police determined Kimball knew the people in the apartment and that he set the fire as part of a feud, police said. He faces one count of second-degree arson in that case.
