SCHENECTADY — Police have charged a local teen with first-degree assault in connection with a stabbing Tuesday on Park Avenue.
Earl Emmanuel, 17, of Schenectady, stabbed a 21-year-old woman at 933 Park Ave. just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, according to police. The woman was taken by ambulance to Albany Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
Police said she was stabbed during an argument involving her ex-boyfriend. Police caught up with Emmanuel just after 10 p.m. on Crane Street and arrested him.
Emmanuel also faces misdemeanor charges of weapon possession and petty larceny.
He was still in custody Wednesday morning, awaiting arraignment.
