JOHNSTOWN -- A man Fort Plain man has been sentenced to serve 10 years in state prison for child rape, Fulton County prosecutors said.
Michael A. Stevenson Jr., 21, of Fort Plain, pleaded guilty in October to raping a child younger than 13.
He was arrested in April in Gloversville by state police on charges that accused him of raping two children who were known to him, prosecutors said.
Judge Louise Sira sentenced Stevenson on Wednesday. Amanda Nellis prosecuted the case, and Stevenson was represented by attorney Michael Poulin.
