A 38-year-old Halfmoon man was arrested following a late-night high-speed chase down I-87 that started in Queensbury and ended when authorities say he lost control of his vehicle and rolled over in Malta.

Eric M. Herrey, of 109 Overlook Pass, apartment B, was charged with two felonies, several misdemeanors and a number of motor vehicle infractions following the incident, which started approximately 9:35 p.m. Friday near exit 16.

Herrey drew the attention of a patrolling sheriff's deputy when he entered southbound lanes of the Northway at the exit 16 interchange and cut across three lanes of traffic without signaling, Saratoga County Sheriff's Lt. Dan Morey said in a release.

The pursuit continued down the Northway to exit 13N where Herrey lost control of his vehicle and it left the roadway, sheriff's deputies said.

Among the charges Herrey faces are felony driving while intoxicated and second-degree criminal impersonation. Herrey was found to have several warrants out for his arrest, sheriff's deputies said.

Herrey was arraigned in Halfmoon Town Court and sent to Saratoga County jail, where he was being held to await further proceedings, sheriff's deputies said
