Ice jam floods St. Johnsville

Mohawk River water levels are high

ST. JOHNSVILLE — Mayor Bernard Barnes has declared a state of emergency in the Village of St. Johnsville after ice jams on the Mohawk River and flooding overnight, Montgomery County Emergency Management said.

There has been flooding in the area of Williams and West Streets, which are now closed except for resident local traffic only.

In Schenectady County, Mohawk River water levels are high.
