SCHENECTADY -- A report of a stolen car behind a business Monday led to the arrest of a teen on a weapons charge, police said.
Enrique E. Pedragon, 16, address unavailable, faces charges of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm, both felonies, along with misdemeanor child endangerment, police said.
Pedragon is accused of having a loaded .22 caliber revolver on him when police investigated the stolen car on Watt Street, just before 12:30 p.m. on Monday, according to court documents.
He is also accused of having the gun in the presence of two 14-year-olds while in a stolen car, according to court documents. He was not charged with stealing the vehicle; a juvenile is facing charges charged related to the car, Schenectady police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Dearing said.
