BALLSTON — Two home health aides were arrested for stealing jewelry from an elderly disabled woman, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office.

Michele Chabot, 54, of Scotia, was charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony, while Anna E. Riley, 24, of Colonie, was charged with misdemeanor petit larceny, deputies said Thursday.

The investigations into Chabot and Riley occurred between Dec. 15 and Jan. 28, deputies said.

The pair allegedly stole numerous pieces of jewelry from the woman's residence in the town of Ballston while working as home health aides.

Chabot and Riley were released and are scheduled to appear in Ballston Town Court at a later date.
