Kelly Lynch, co-host of “Chuck and Kelly” on News Radio 810 and 103.1 WGY, honored her father by getting a tattoo.
It’s something that many daughters would do to rebel against their parents. But Lynch’s tattoo celebrates her relationship with her late father. She went with an intricate Celtic father-daughter knot, placed just above her ankle.
“If you look closely, you can see not only the interwoven lines, but also the image of a cross within the lines, the formation of a fleur de lis style larger cross in the outer lines, and also two hearts, opposite each other, or a series of four hearts around the diamond,” Lynch wrote on the WGY website.
Lynch’s father, Dan Lynch, passed away last year. The two shared a birthday and had similar careers. Dan was a Times Union columnist and radio show host.
“So on this day, my first birthday without him, I chose to honor him with a deeply personal and lasting tribute,” Lynch wrote.
